WBI Governance Practice

Kathrin Frauscher manages the World Bank Institute's Contract Monitoring Initiative, a program that combines the work being done on Procurement and Governance for Extractive Industries. This initiative promotes transparency in procurement processes and outcomes in key industries, such as extractive industries, construction, health, and education using multi-stakeholder coalitions.

Prior to her work on this initiative, Kathrin worked with WBI’s Private Sector Team. She worked with the private sector and its stakeholders to foster anti-corruption coalitions with code of conducts and verification mechanisms.

Kathrin has a MA in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a BA in Economics from the University of Vienna.
