Mei Xie

WBI Climate Change Practice

Mei Xie is a Senior Water Resources Specialist with WBI’s Climate Change practice. She is the team leader of the Sustainable Land and Water Management program, and has developed a learning platform at WBI on climate change and agricultural water management. The platform brings together success stories and lessons to launch a series of South-South knowledge exchanges relating to climate change adaptation. 

She is now leading a new program which will bring in climate-smart agriculture into the climate adaptation and mitigation agenda.

Before joining WBI, she worked as a task manager on development projects related to river basin management, water resources development, rural water supply, and irrigation reforms in the East Asia region.  She has worked in Africa, South Asia, East Asia, Middle East and Central Asia.
