Nils-Sjard Schulz

Nils-Sjard Schulz is an independent consultant for development policies and a research associate with FRIDE, a Madrid-based European think tank, where he focuses on the global governance in development. His publications include studies on the aid effectiveness agenda in countries such as Honduras, Malawi and Honduras, and assessments of global and European development policies. He is a UNDP expert for capacity development, providing the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) regional office in Panama with support on South-South cooperation and aid effectiveness. He has also been involved in the 2008 Paris Declaration monitoring survey and the design of the second phase of the currently ongoing Paris Declaration evaluation.
Mr. Schulz is an active contributor to several blogs on development cooperation, among them the South-South Opportunity (http://www.southsouth.info) and the hispanophone Foro AOD (http://www.foroaod.org).
He holds a Masters in Social Sciences from the Humboldt University of Berlin and a specialization in International Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid.
