R. Bedford Tanner III

R. Bedford 'Ford' Tanner III is a Desk Officer at the Office of the Coordinator for Cuban Affairs at the US Department of State, where he handles migration issues between Cuba and the United States. Prior to joining the State Department, he worked as a research assistant to Sören Gigler at the World Bank and analyzed how ICT can foster aid transparency and enhance donor coordination in the world’s poorest countries.
He holds a BA, summa cum laude, in Political Science from Wake Forest University and an MA in Political Economy and Latin American Studies from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
