WBI Growth and Competitiveness Practice

Raj Nallari manages WBI’s Growth and Competitiveness Practice. He is currently working on new approaches to development and frontier issues in development policy.

Since joining the World Bank in July 1992, Raj has worked on economic issues for African, Caribbean, and South Asian countries.

He came to WBI from a two-year special assignment in the International Monetary Fund’s Policy Development and Review DepartmentHe has co-authored several books on macroeconomic stabilization, growth and poverty, and gender issues, and has published in several economic journals. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
