Revolt Against Big is the first webinar in the e-Institute's Growth and Competitiveness Emerging Issues in Economics series.

This webinar discussion will center on big financial institutions, conglomerates, and large-sized entities (big government, big labor unions, etc.), which are usually powerful and pose a systematic risk to the economies. Policy options of dealing with large entities will also be discussed.

Emerging Issues in Economics is a free monthly webinar series that discusses cutting edge issues in development. Experts from the World Bank will share the latest approaches on topics such as social entrepreneurship and green growth through online presentations. The goal of the webinar series is to educate and foster discussion around pressing issues in development. 

These webinars target mostly policy makers and practitioners, but everyone is welcome to attend. Each webinar will take place on the first or second Tuesday of every month and will be available through the e-Institute portal. After the presentation, participants will also have the opportunity to interact with the speaker through a question and answer session.
