Thousands Join the MOOC on Climate Change

Read the latest blog post, "Thousands Join the MOOC on Climate Change," by Knowledge Management Officer Peter Schierl, part of the World Bank's Climate Change team.

In this post, Schierl outlines the World Bank Group’s first MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) on climate change, titled
"Turn Down the Heat: Why a 4°C Warmer World Must be Avoided." The MOOC is set to kick off Monday, January 27, on an online platform hosted by education company Coursera.

As Schierl outlines in his post, the four-week course will explore questions such as, Will our communities be drier or wetter? Will it be hotter or colder? How will climate change affect our food supply and our water? Can cities be made greener? What steps can we take to prepare for some of these changes?

To learn more about the MOOC and/or to register, read the full blog post, and share this post and let us know what you think by way of comments.
