September 21, 2011―Boosting food security in a changing climate.  Securing environmental  protection. Promoting sustainable energy access. The search for solutions to this pressing trio of development challenges confronting Africa was the focus of new continental dialogues that kicked off this past week, beginning in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the margins of the two meetings of African agriculture ministers and African energy ministers, the World Bank Institute's Climate Change Practice organized a knowledge and training event on climate finance. Country delegations were able to learn from each other's successes on energy access and green growth - issues that will feature prominently at the COP-17 discussions in Durban.
